Private Residence Investigations
These investigations are of private residences. Due to our codes of privacy names, addresses and any personal information is either changed or deleted at the request of the clients.
Most of our clients are referred to us by word of mouth.
When a home owner or resident of a household experiences paranormal activity, it can be a bit unnerving for the occupants.
Our advice is to record any data they think are paranormal, Items such as time, persons present, areas of activity, events. It is also helpful to provide any known information about the house, such as when they experienced the first time, when they moved in, etc...
I would like to point out also that most things can be explained naturally. Things to look for are where wiring is placed (usually in basement) as compared to location of events. Look for loose pipes against floor boards or walls (they tend to rattle when pressurized), loose faucet fittings, traces of animals inhabitating parts of house, (such as a squirrel in the attic)
Our groups protocol, when contacted to do an investigation
Do a client interview--This usually the first contact. We generally try to learn the events that are taking place.
Obtain any permissions needed--This involves having client explain to us what they want us to do and when.
Do research on area of investigation-- This phase we do research on the area area using resources such as historical societies, county offices, internet searches, talking with the people involved and with some that know the history of area.
Preliminary investigation--This may or may not coincide with the above phase. Usually we have 2 team members go to the area with a represenative of the area. We do an EMF sweep of the area and may take a few pictures. What we are looking for at this time is any naturally occurring hot spots, danger zones, and the areas as described by client. We are trying to get a general "feel" of the place
Team Meeting--Just prior to primary investigation, we meet with all team members who'll be present, explain what is occurring, issue equipment and assign tasks, check all equipment.
Primary Investigation--This phase we do the investigation using whatever equipment and personal is needed. This time is usually a minimum of 2 hours depending on size of the area. We will attempt to collect as much video, audio evidence as possible, We also try to correlate any personal experiences to any of the other evidence we gather.
Analysis--This were we sit and and go through all our video footage, still camera shots, DVR recordings. We also discuss with the team any type of personal experiences, EMF readings that were encountered.
Final Interview--This is where we discuss our findings with the client , show them whatever evidence we have, and any discuss with them any options.
